Here are 1600 Reasons to Play Golf at Lakewood Ranch Golf & Country Club

Sarasota is blessed with a number of beautiful golf courses - and Lakewood Ranch Country Club is one of the best.

However, Lakewood Ranch Country Club is a member only club so not everyone can play this great course. But on Saturday, September 17, 2011, that will not be the case. That’s the day Lakewood Ranch Country Club will host a special golf tournament to support Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Sun Coast and the 1,600 children who currently benefit from that great organization.

In addition to playing a beautiful golf course, there will be special contests (and special prizes), including:
• Sunset Chevrolet Hole-in-One Contest: Win a beautiful new Sunset Chevrolet automobile
• Winning Foursome Awards
• Prizes for Closest to the Pin; Longest Drive (Men & Women); Closest to the Line; Putting Contests
• 50/50 Raffles

Not only will you enjoy great golf, fun contests, lunch, and exciting prizes –you will be supporting one of the really great organizations in our area – Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Sun Coast. This special organization provides one-to-one mentoring to 1,600 youths, showing amazing improvement (over 90%) in such important areas for these kids:
• Academic performance
• Improve relationships with their peers and their family
• Improved behavior
• Improved self confidence

Tournament registration is now open to a limited number of players. The fees (to include the Awards Luncheon at the Club) are $125 for individual golfers; $480 for your own foursome. If you don’t have your own foursome, we’ll put one together for you.
