Bookkeeper/Admin Assistant/Computer Support

This is a 20 hour per week position reporting to the Executive Director. The responsibilities are to: 1) provide administrative support to the Lemur Conservation Foundation including office management, bookkeeping, monthly accounting, maintaining print and online file systems, 2) maintain the computers, printers, network, hardware and software at the Mianatra Center for Lemur Studies and provide technical and software training and support as needed, 3) oversee Lemur Shop activities and maintain stock and process orders.

Must have experience as an administrative assistant and bookkeeper and proficiency with Quickbooks, a high level of proficiency with computers and all Microsoft Office applications. Experience with In-Design, Photoshop and Microsoft Expression or other web design software a plus.

1. Administrative Support 75%
Provides administrative support to the Foundation and staff including: maintaining office equipment and supplies; maintaining donor database, bookkeeping, monthly accounting, accounts receivable, processing payroll, financial and budgetary planning; assisting with special projects and programs; editing, copyediting, and graphic design support for LCF publications; disseminating news and press releases;

2. Computer Support 25%
As IT support, maintains and troubleshoots the computer systems, servers, printers and the network, including hardware and software, at the Center. Responsibilities include investigating hardware and software options, comparing and negotiating prices, disaster preparedness including backup systems, updating and maintaining efficiency of staff pcs and serving as a resource in using LCF software.
